Grayhawk’s Phil Mickelson Enters Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Phil Mickelson for being inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame. The ceremony was held yesterday in St Augustine, Florida. For those unfamiliar with Phil’s past, he went to ASU and Grayhawk was his home course for many years. He had his first PGA win while still a student at ASU. Phil’s Grill at the Grayhawk Golf Club was named after him and includes much of his memorabilia.

Lefty was elected for the honor by on the PGA Tour Ballot. He has won the Masters three times, one PGA Championship, two World Golf Championships, been on eight Ryder Cup teams and every Presidents Cup team since it began in 1994. He is well loved amongst Scottsdale golfers. His commitment to Scottsdale golf courses was obvious last year when he purchased the McDowell Mountain Ranch Golf Club.

Grayhawk Golf Club Will Soon Have a Coffee Shop

Grayhawk Golf Club will soon have a coffee shop. Mojo Morning Joint was scheduled to open this coming Monday (January 16, 2012) but due to a few minor details the opening has been delayed.

The new coffee shop will be open daily from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm. They will offer a large variety of coffee drinks, smoothies and a delicious food menu. It will be a very convenient spot for Grayhawk residents to stop on their way to work or on their morning jog around the community.

Grayhawk Scottsdale Has a Busy Holiday Season Planned

Grayhawk Scottsdale will be hosting a few different holiday celebrations this month. Residents of this great community are encouraged to come out and enjoy this wonderful season with their friends and family.

Below are the fun activities:

Santa Party - This Wednesday, December 7th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Grayhawk Golf Club, there will be lots of food and drinks (for both children and adults). Admission is $15 for adults and $8 for kids.
“Polar Express” Winter Baking Celebration – This Saturday, December 10th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Community Association Office. Your children will enjoy a fun filled afternoon of baking festive holiday cookies in their favorite winter pajamas. It is for children ages 3 to 12 years old and is $20 per child.
Holiday Hayrides – On Monday, December 12th and Wednesday, December 14th bring the whole family out to enjoy fun hayrides through the community. This is a great opportunity to view all of the beautiful Christmas lights and decor.

The Grayhawk Golf Club is honoring the accomplishment that Phil Mickelson has just achieved. He has officially been elected to enter into the 2012 World Golf Hall of Fame. The induction will take place on May 7, 2012.

This is a very exciting achievement for Grayhawk’s close friend Phil. To celebrate, the Grayhawk Club is holding a golf special from Sunday November 13, 2011 through Wednesday November 16, 2011. A round of golf is $125 and it includes a complimentary entree certificate with each round booked.

Grayhawk Golf Club is Part of The Scottsdale Open Amateur Tournament

The Grayhawk Golf Club will be one of the three top ranked golf clubs in Scottsdale to host the Waste Management Scottsdale Open in January 2012. This is the ultimate tournament that tests the skills of some of the best amateur golfers in Scottsdale. This tournament will be held January 13th, 14th and 15th. Each round will be played on a different course as outlined below:

Round One: January 13, 2012 at the Troon North Golf Club on the Monument Course

Round Two: January 14, 2012 at the Grayhawk Golf Club on the Raptor Course

Round Three: January 15, 2012 at the Tournament Players Club on the Stadium Course

This is just two weeks before the pros come to town for the Phoenix Open and is a great way to compare your amateur golfing skills just before seeing what they can do.

Grayhawk Scottsdale is a great community to consider when purchasing your next home or condo in Scottsdale. There are plenty of professional level golf courses, an endless number of great dining options and shopping nearby. Another bonus to the Grayhawk area is the proximity to the freeways so you have easy access to all sporting events and other activities throughout the city.

Before you begin your search it is important to think about the items that are most important to you. Items such as price, necessary amenities, type of property and where to buy are very important factors to consider when starting the home buying process. Once you have a list of what is important to you, we can set up a custom online search that will show you the properties that are currently available.

When you are ready to look at some homes or condos in person, we will schedule showings at your top picks. I would suggest viewing no more than seven properties per day. If you look at too many it can become overwhelming and each place may start to seem like a blur, even if you are jotting down notes along the way. It is also a good idea to bring a camera or phone with photo capability just in case you would like to capture items that you find you are most interested in or would like to remember later.
