Grayhawk Golf Club is the place to be this weekend in Scottsdale. The PGA Frys.com Open is this week at Grayhawk. The tournament tees off on Thursday and continues through Sunday. This is the third year Grayhawk Golf Club has hosted this PGA tour event. Last year there were 34,450 people attend and this year they expect 45,000 or more. This is a much smaller event than the FBR Open which plays at the TPC Golf Course down the street every January. That is a distinct advantage to the fans, according to the tour promoters. You feel like you are “part of the golf action” instead of just watching from the crowd. Scottsdale is one of only two cities that have two PGA Tour events. Another indication of Scottsdale’s world wide reputation for golf. Join the crowd and watch the top players compete for a $5 Million purse and a first prize of $900,000.
