Grayhawk and DC Ranch are very competitive with each other. They are two of the most prominent communities in Scottsdale and both try to out do the other with spectac
ular holiday light displays every year on the corner of Pima Road and Thompson Peak Parkway. I have lived in the area for over a decade and I have seen this progress over many years. DC Ranch was the clear winner for many years but the tide has turned. The holiday lights display for Grayhawk is fantastic this year. Grayhawk has marched all over DC Ranch and won hands down.
Grayhawk has a multi-color light display featuring all of the native plants and cactus in their landscaping. The saguaro’s are outlined in green, the ocotillo are white and red etc. I highly recommend a night time drive through the area. It is definitely worth seeing. Grayhawk has put a lot of time, effort and expense into making sure they have the superior light display in North Scottsdale.

I’ll have to check it out. When I’m in the area I check out the bulletin boards for whats going on in the community. Seems like the hoa does a bunch of stuff for the residents.
